What God says About…

Passion…

Our passion should be for Christ and the things of the Kingdom of God. What we talk about the most, what we think about the most, this is our passion. The bible says:

For out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.   Matthew 12:34B

My husband and son just returned from a Men’s Conference at our church ( The River of Life Family Church, Jersey Shore) [ check it out:   http://www.rlfc.com/templates/System/default.asp?id=36730  ].  My son made a beeline straight to his computer, where he spent the day down loading a game to his laptop.

Now understand, I have issues with video and computer games. I feel they are our young peoples next addiction problem…a drug that goes in through the eyes and ears, rendering some oblivious to the goings on around them. My son is proof of that. This particular game is a problem for me as well, WOW, it has no God within. My problem is my son is an adult, who has a relationship with God, who is distracted with these games. I believe WOW to be the DND of today.

I mentioned to my husband that we had lost James to this game. His response was that then James must not have listened during the conference. James look up, made a face, mumbled under his breath about listening and waved us away.

My husband said that the speaker said that if Christ is our passion, that will be where all of our conversations will lead and end up. I believe this to be true.

My passion is Christ. My work is gearing itself towards God, my blogs and articles lead to God and His Word.  Amazingly most of my conversations lead and end up about God.  I want to be a  voice to a person, a woman, a man, a child, to a nation (s) that leads them to the love of God.
