My Great Uncle Max sent this…it helped my heart!
“Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed. . . . I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you” (Isaiah 41:10, 13).
Scripture Focus: Isaiah 41:8-14
God’s promises are relevant to both everyday life and the baffling situations we face. Since over 300 of His promises begin with “Fear not,” we can be assured that God knows how we hesitate to venture into the unknown.
To all who worry about the future, God guarantees His presence wherever He leads us. He says to our troubled heart, “Don’t be dismayed—everything’s going to be all right because I am with you.” He promises strength and help as He holds us up so that we will not fall. In tenderness He promises to take us by the hand. What greater assurance could He give us than to promise that as we journey through the darkness He will hold our hand?
Millions of believers have trusted God’s leading. Never has one reported, “I trusted God, but He messed it up for me.” Rather it has been, “He has done all things well. His promise has not failed. He was with me every step of that journey through the darkness.”
Insight: Your hand in His—His hand holding yours! What you see ahead may be disturbing, but fear not. When He takes your hand your misgivings will disappear.

Thank you for being so honest. It is wonderful to find other Christians on the web. I believe in Jesus Christ as my Saviour and Lord.
Our church (Heritage FWB) has started a program of 16 weeks to teach whoever (me) to share their faith and to go out into the “streets” to share Jesus. I have learned more than I give. I believe that I needed to learn it so I can help others.
I always felt that I shared Jesus wherever I went, including being silent. My husband and I were at a dinner hosted by a company. The first thing the “main” person stated to all at our table: I perceive you are a Christian. I’d like to tell a joke if it is okay with you. However, I promise I will clean it up. It was a cute joke without all of the dirty, suggestive words in it. His wife spoke up and stated: my goodness, you really did clean it up.
Witnessing for Jesus is done in many forms. I pray each day for myself to be hidden behind Him. Somedays I fail and try to go around Him and then I really fall flat on my face.
