- Wherefore seeing we also are compassed…
Beset: to surround, to enclose, to hem in, to beseige. To press in on all sides so as to perplex and entangle. To render escape difficult or impossible. To way lay, to harrass continually or habitually. To assail or attack on all sides – to surround so that you are unable to move.
Quite a little word.
We are beset often in our lives, by many things! But we are encouraged by the Word of God…
Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us.
Hebrews 12:1-2
We must set aside distractions that cause us delay and fear. We must run with patience, with trust in God, the call in our lives. We have purpose…We must focus on God…
Blessings All.
